Bee-Engineer Plus+

Engineering

The “Bee-Engineer Plus+” educational program is designed for kindergarten students (ages 4 and 5), introducing them to the fascinating world of Engineering, Robotics, and Programming.

Through playful activities, children explore concepts and phenomena from their surroundings by building structures with construction materials, using a remote control, and programming the Beebot robot. Each activity is enriched with engaging stories that captivate young engineers and programmers, encouraging them to find solutions to specific challenges.

The educational materials used, including Lilliputian Engineers with Remote Control, are age-appropriate, featuring components that are easy for small hands to handle. Combined with audiovisual resources and specially designed worksheets, children are encouraged to observe, test predictions, and draw conclusions.

The Beebot is used in kindergarten to introduce programming and fundamental scientific principles. Children learn to program the Beebot’s movements, developing fine motor skills and basic programming abilities. This enjoyable process enhances critical thinking, spatial awareness, and social skills, fostering empathy and teamwork through group activities.

Objectives of the program

  • Development of Motor Skills: Strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through the assembly and manipulation of constructions using building materials and remote controls.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Promoting children’s imagination and creativity through the construction and programming of robotic models, enabling them to discover innovative problem-solving approaches.
  • Introduction to Basic Principles of Robotics and Engineering: Understanding key concepts of engineering and robotics, such as motion, levers, gears, and programming.
  • Enhancing Collaboration and Teamwork: Developing cooperative and teamwork skills by working together to achieve shared goals and complete their projects.
  • Promoting Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Cultivating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by encouraging children to experiment, make predictions, and find solutions to challenges.
