Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competition 2021

.

(teamwork)

(critical thinking)

(engineer thinking)

(problem solving)

COMPETITIVE CATEGORIES

The Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competition is aimed at students of all school levels from all over Greece. Different educational goals are set for each level, and therefore different competition categories and competition criteria.

KINDERGARTEN

Our Galaxy (Non-competitive category)

Kindergarten students create groups of 3-6 children. Each group creates a floor track that is made of materials of their choice and depicts, in a three-dimensional way, our galaxy / solar system. With the help of a floor robot that moves between planets, comets, asteroid nebulae according to the commands given to it by children, the teams show us how our solar system and space are and make us understand that the Earth, our home, is part of a larger system. Through this activity, students will create their first algorithm.

Primary School

From Archimedes to Da Vinci (Open Category)

Explore the important inventions that influenced humanity from the time of Archimedes to the time of Leonardo Da Vinci! The category challenges you to “tease” them by changing either the form of energy they use to operate or the way they are controlled (from mechanical automation to programmers) and bring them into the present to provide solutions to current problems.

New rules have been added to this year’s competition.

2×2 Football (Robotic Soccer Game)

In this game 2 rival alliances consisting of 2 remote controlled robots each, chase a ball, on a specially designed table (soccer field). The goal of each alliance is to win the game, scoring more goals than its opponents.

Junior High School

The Thorium of Riga and the Balkans (Class I Regular)

Through this test, participants can wander around the Balkan countries and get to know all the elements that unite peoples, common history, language, art, music, common customs and traditions, etc.

Race of Robots (Regular Category II)

The “Race of Robots” challenge is a line follow. The idea is based on the “Race of Chmapions”, a motorcycle race that takes place on a track designed with a track of two different lanes each, usually joined by a bridge. Drivers run one on one.

Robots in the service of humans: Powerbots, the future of energy (Open Class)

In the near future, robots and machines will become part of our daily lives. The “robotic servants” described by science fiction since the 1950s will become a reality in a decade at the latest.

In this massive “invasion” of machines into our lives, the mission this year is for each team to build a robot / project that helps their daily lives people.

Autonomous Driving (Regular Category)

The autonomous driving competition is an individual timing competition. Each car competes on its own, moving autonomously around the track, trying to achieve the best time.

With this new competition, we want to transfer the challenges of modern scientific research to the student community and educate our students in the systematic study and solution of real problems of our time.

Agricultural Production and Standardization (Open Category)

This new category invites for the first time students and teachers of EPAL. to inspire, design and manufacture robotic machines, mechanisms, components, automations, miniature factories or miniature factory parts, which:

  • Assist in the production, processing, standardization of agricultural or livestock or fishery products while ensuring the conservation of natural resources
  • Will comply with international standards
  • They will improve existing procedures
