STEMath

STEMath is a program designed for Kindergarten students (4 and 5 years old). Through playing with a variety of educational materials appropriate for their age, children cultivate basic mathematical skills such as classification, enumeration, geometric imaging, logical thinking and problem solving. They are also introduced to the world of educational robotics and algorithmic thinking using the programmable Bee-Bot, and through a range of increasing difficulty activities they develop orientation and distance measuring skills. Activities are accompanied by specially formatted worksheets that allow the child to practice but also to consolidate the concepts of each lesson.

Based on modern pedagogical methods, the program offers the child the opportunity to develop creativity, imagination, critical thinking and the ability to solve problems. Every student plays, explores, understands and discovers knowledge through experimentation.

Objective of the program

STEMath’s main goal is to cultivate basic mathematical skills through a playful process, based on materials designed for students, often not available in public education. We also aim to develop problem solving skills and teamwork.
