3athlon

Elementary Category «3athlon»

3athlon is an original educational robotics competition that includes three game categories: SoccerBot, BaSTEMball, and Aquabot Relay. Each team consists of students from all grades of elementary school, who are called to compete in different games with coordination and clearly defined roles. (Only SoccerBot and BaSTEMball will be played)

During the tournament, teams form alliances with other teams through a random draw, and victories are shared between the two allied teams.

Ages: Grades 1–6 (Note: see section E 1.1.1 for age category allocation within student teams)
Team Size: 6–9 players in total, 3 per game (minimum 2 and maximum 3)
Coach: 1 (20 years old or older)

ONLY SoccerBot and BaSTEMball will be played

Knowledge Research is the official equipment supplier for the Competition.

The track consists of a large wooden board that serves as a base, on top of which is spread and secured the canvas, which contains the colors, lines, and areas where the robots move and the missions are carried out. Wooden walls are attached around the board, forming a low perimeter to protect the balls and robots from falling off the surface. The entire structure is placed and secured on tables, which are used to give the track an ideal viewing height. The dimensions of the track are specific and are listed in the rulebook, while the dimensions of the lines within the canvas are also predetermined. Outside the boundaries of the track, the margins may be larger, especially at the points where the wooden walls are fixed. The game is played with this layout.
