At the same time, it cultivates interest in science and technology, inspiring the younger generation to pursue careers in these fields.<\/p>\n<p>Participation enhances students&#8217; creativity, critical thinking, self-confidence, and perseverance, as they are challenged to face and overcome challenges with real impact.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>25 Years of Service and Innovation<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For 25 years, our organization has been the only body working systematically to introduce educational robotics and STEM into Greek education, based on the following principles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>De-commoditization of hardware and software<\/strong>, using open technologies such as Microbit, Arduino, Scratch, and MakeCode.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Decentralization of the competition<\/strong>, with regional representatives and\u00a0<strong>zero participation costs<\/strong>, making it unique worldwide at this level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Linking projects to the natural sciences<\/strong>, so that problem solving is based on scientific laws and incorporates new technologies.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promotion of the competition as a Greek educational initiative<\/strong>, in contrast to other imported competitions that promote specific material.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Internationalizing the institution<\/strong>\u00a0by creating the\u00a0<strong>International STEM Contest (STEMATHLON)<\/strong>, in which students from Southern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East participate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Teacher Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The creation of\u00a0<strong>PORTAL<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stem-association.org\/2026-season\/(https:\/portal.stem.edu.gr\/)\">(https:\/\/portal.stem.edu.gr\/)<\/a>\u00a0offers\u00a0<strong>free bilingual support and training<\/strong>\u00a0to teachers, both in Greece and abroad, enhancing the quality and accessibility of the educational process.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Competition Theme: &#8220;From Human Intelligence to Artificial Intelligence&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>From kindergarten to high school, students explore the transition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From human-controlled\u00a0<strong>mechanical constructions<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>To\u00a0<strong>simple automations<\/strong>\u00a0without human intervention,<\/li>\n<li>To\u00a0<strong>complex projects with sensors and data usage (IoT)<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>And finally, to\u00a0<strong>data management through Artificial Intelligence (AI)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The integration of sensors (environmental, physical, energy, etc.) allows interaction with the environment and confirmation of fundamental laws of Natural Sciences, leading to\u00a0<strong>smart automation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Main Focus: Human Being<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This year&#8217;s theme focuses on human beings and their basic needs:\u00a0<strong>Food, Energy, Communication, Art, and Culture<\/strong>.
