“Journey to the Heart of Engineering and Science: Build-it!”

Imagine a program that transforms children into little engineers and scientists, guiding them on an exciting journey through the world of engineering and science. This dream becomes a reality with TechCard Build-it!

TechCard Build-it is an ideal introduction to simple structures and mechanisms. It’s an educational construction kit designed for children in the 1st and 2nd grades of primary school. Wheels, axles, connectors, and levers are explored through an exciting set of models. Building these models helps children learn to follow sequential instructions while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, engineering, and design skills. There is plenty of room for children to further develop the models or use them as a starting point for their own designs and project creations.

Through the construction of 9 different models, children are introduced to basic engineering concepts such as levers, axles, wheels, and connectors. Each model is a unique adventure, full of fun and learning.

Program Goals

  1. Understanding Basic Principles:
    – Mechanical Concepts: Children become familiar with basic engineering concepts such as levers, axles, wheels, and connectors. They learn how these concepts work and how they can be applied in practice.
    – Physical Laws: The program introduces fundamental physical laws, helping children understand how natural phenomena operate.
    – Scientific Concepts: Along with mechanical concepts, children are introduced to essential scientific ideas like friction, mass, and weight.
  2. Skill Development:
    – STEM Skills: The program focuses on developing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) skills, which are crucial for the 21st century.
    – Critical Thinking: Through building and problem-solving activities, children develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
    – Fine Motor Skills: Constructing the models requires fine motor skills, which gradually improve with practice.
    – Teamwork: Activities encourage teamwork and collaboration, fostering communication and interaction skills.
    – Creativity: The program gives children the freedom to experiment and bring their own ideas to life, encouraging creativity and initiative.
    – Curiosity: Exploration and discovery are core elements, stimulating children’s curiosity and research mindset.
    – Confidence: Successfully completing the models boosts children’s confidence and self-esteem.
    – Interest in Science and Engineering: The program aims to spark an interest in science and engineering, guiding children toward future studies and careers in these fields.
